    Metallurgy and smelting

Measurement for batch certification in smelting and metallurgy.

We configure fusion instruments, other sample preparation equipment, and thermal equipment for smelters, secondary metallurgy, and non-ferrous metals recycling in Sweden.

Capacities in the smelter's quality flow.

We install and configure instruments for the workflow from concentrate to batch certificate, fusion, and thermal processes in a metallurgical QC laboratory.

    fusion for analytical labs

Fusion-based sample preparation for matrices that do not permit direct instrumental analysis. Fusion digestion of slags, refractory materials and difficult-to-digest concentrates prior to subsequent ICP analysis. Reproducible sample preparation with traceable documentation.

    Thermal processes for QC labs

Annealing, ashing, sintering, and thermal pre-treatment in laboratory furnaces for the foundry's internal quality laboratory. For analytical methods requiring a defined thermal pre-history of the sample.

    Manufacturer for the industry.

For metals & smelters we work with manufacturers that together cover sample preparation in the QA workflow: fusion and microwave digestion as well as thermal processes. All with an installed base in Nordic industry.

    Environmental Express Katanax

Specialist in fusion-based sample preparation for analytical labs. Katanax fusion systems are used for fusion of metal samples, slags, concentrates and refractory materials prior to ICP analysis.

Service and support from our own engineers.

We offer service contracts with annual planned service by our own engineers, for improved operational reliability and stable measurement quality over time. Commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and original spare parts are included as per agreement.

    Standards and reference methods.

Measurements for batch certification must hold up in audit and be traceable to an established standard. For fusion, microwave digestion and thermal processes, we work to reference methods that your accreditation body, your customers and third-party auditors already recognise.

    • ISO 17025 for traceability in calibration, documentation and reporting.
    • ISO 12677 for sample preparation of metallurgical and ceramic materials prior to subsequent analysis.
    • Calibration against certified reference materials matched to your plant's concentrate portfolio.

The calibration curve is developed application-specifically for your matrix. Calibration is verified through duplicate determinations distributed across the entire calibration range.
