    Description

The PE-1000 is NIC's petro-specific solution for direct analysis of mercury in crude oil and liquid petroleum products. The sample is pyrolysed in a controlled two-stage flow where volatile components are removed before total mercury is amalgamated and measured. This technique eliminates the risk of Hg losses during acid treatment.

The results are used by refineries, gas plants, and production companies to protect catalysts (Hg-trap monitoring), comply with ASTM D7623, and ensure occupational safety according to OSHA/EU directives.
