U2 ultra-microwave digestion

U2 is Preekem's latest generation of microwave digestion in which the reaction chamber is pre-pressurised with inert gas. The higher pressure and temperature capacity (up to 200 bar and 300 °C) means that even the most difficult-to-digest matrices can be completely decomposed without needing special vessels for each sample type.

With rack positions for up to 82 vessels per batch and support for glass, quartz, and PTFE vessels, the same instrument handles both routine workflows in environmental labs and challenging petrochemical or metallurgical samples. Dual heating and a common method for multiple matrices simplify method validation and documentation.

Through lower acid consumption (up to 50% per sample) and the possibility of using disposable glass tubes, operating costs are significantly reduced compared to conventional systems.
